Bowie is holding open auditions for individuals or groups to perform the National Anthem and for stage announcers to be the voice of the City during events like the Memorial Day Parade, Bowiefest, the Old Bowie Celebrates! Festival, the International Festival, and other special events.
Auditions will be held at the Bowie Television Studio at the Kenhill Center on February 22 beginning at 9 a.m. with walk-in auditions welcome until 11 a.m. For the National Anthem, performers should be prepared to perform the National Anthem acappella for a judging panel. Voice of Bowie candidates will be asked to read a pre-prepared script.
