The VOICE Network – Voices of Innovation in Climate & Energy – is a proposed network created specifically for marketing and communications professionals working across the climate, energy and built environment sectors.
The people communicating the energy transition face many of the same challenges: translating complex ideas, engaging varied audiences, demonstrating impact and building public understanding of new technologies and approaches. However, there are relatively few opportunities for marketing and communications professionals in these sectors to meet, share knowledge and learn from one another.
VOICE aims to create a valuable professional community where members can:
- Build relationships with marketing and communications peers
- Share ideas, experiences and best practice
- Discuss common challenges and opportunities
- Learn from others working across connected sectors
- Support professional development and collaboration
- Strengthen the collective voice of those communicating the energy transition
This first gathering is an opportunity to test interest in the network and hear directly from potential members about what they would find most valuable. We also hope to identify people who may be interested in joining a founding committee and helping to shape the network’s future direction, activities and programme.
The event will be relaxed and informal, with drinks and conversation. We will introduce the idea behind VOICE, discuss its potential purpose and priorities, and invite attendees to share what they would like the network to offer.
VOICE is intended to be shaped by its members, for its members. This first event is the beginning of that conversation.
