VOCES8: Nightfall

The 2023 Grammy-nominated British vocal ensemble VOCES8 is one of the most exciting and versatile vocal groups in the world. The ensemble has established itself at the forefront of British a cappella, performing repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphony to unique Jazz and Pop arrangements.

Accompanying VOCES8’s newest Decca Classics album release, 'Nightfall' intertwines a typically varied programme of music from around the world with themes of reflection, renewal, and the passage of time. The central works were all written in the 20th century; Gustav Holst’s stunning a cappella Nunc Dimittis marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of the composer. Also included is The Masquerade is Over, arranged by tenor Blake Morgan.
