Gandhar Deshpande is a distinguished vocalist representing the rich lineage of the Gwalior, Jaipur, and Agra Gharanas. Trained from a tender age by his father, the eminent Pt. Dr. Ram Deshpande, Gandhar’s artistry is a sophisticated blend of technical mastery and emotive depth. He is celebrated for his command over complex layakari and his ability to infuse traditional ragas with a vibrant, youthful energy that resonates with contemporary listeners.
Gandhar will be accompanied on tabla by Sanjay Deshpande and harmonium by Siddhesh Bicholkar.
