Spend an evening at Vizcaya after dark, where stories, imagination, and a touch of mystery take center stage. This special Halloween-themed edition of Vizcaya Late invites guests to explore the connections between literature and art through immersive experiences in this historic campus.
Enjoy an evening of spooky seasonal activities, community connection, and cinematic storytelling under the stars, all set against the backdrop of Vizcaya’s timeless architecture and lush landscape. Guests are invited to embrace the magic of the museum after hours and discover stories that inspire curiosity, wonder, and a little bit of fright.
Spooky Shorts from Early Cinema
Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy a selection of early spooky and fantastical films, including The Haunted House (1921), A Trip to the Moon (1902), The Skeleton Dance (1929), and The Witch (La Fée Carabosse) (1906). Together, these short films offer a glimpse into the imaginative worlds, visual effects, and storytelling traditions of early cinema.
Literary Matchmaking with Books & Books
Get matched with your next spooky read! In partnership with the Books & Books Literary Foundation, Vizcaya Late will feature a literary matchmaking experience exploring a range of horror and spooky subgenres, from gothic romance and cult horror to slashers, mad science, supernatural tales, and more.
Everyone is welcome to participate in the matchmaking experience. Want to take home a mystery book selected just for you? Add a **Mystery Book** to your ticket. After purchasing the add-on, you’ll receive a questionnaire designed to help us match you with a spooky read based on your interests and reading preferences.
Important details:
- Questionnaires must be completed by 11:59 p.m. on October 10, 2026.
- Your mystery book will be available for pickup at Vizcaya Late.
- Books will not be available for purchase onsite.
- Mystery Book add-ons are available while supplies last.
Vintage-Inspired Pumpkin Decorating
Get creative with a mini pumpkin decorating activity inspired by vintage Jack-o’-lantern designs and early Halloween traditions. Guests can draw inspiration from historic patterns, faces, and seasonal imagery to create their own unique take on the classic Jack-o’-lantern.

Regual Pricing: $15 for Adults (13+); $10 for Children (6-12); FREE for children (5 and under) and Members
Special Offers
- Early Bird Special: Purchase by noon on Wednesday, September 30 and receive 20% off.
- Community Access: Limited FREE tickets for SNAP and WIC beneficiaries, as well as U.S. active military and veterans are available. Click here for details.
- BUY IN ADVANCE: Tickets may only be made available for purchase at the gate if space allows. Late arrival tickets are subject to an upcharge of $10 for each adult (13+) and child (6-12) ticket.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
