27 cellists from The Cello Company, under the direction of Cynthia Puls, will perform with Johnny Staats Project. Music from the Baroque era, a tango, folk songs and pop tunes.Johnny Staats is a bluegrass mandolin, guitar, and violinist. His band includes: Rick Poling (keyboard and vocals)and Roger Bush (percussion and vocals). Johnny will be inducted into the WV Country Music Hall of Fame on April 18, 2026. He was featured on TED talks, a frequent performer on Mountain Stage, performed 6 times at the Grand Ole Opry, performed in France, Taiwan, and Ireland, performed on NBC’s Today’s Show, the Evening News on CBS, “Larry King Live” on CNN, performed with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Wheeling Symphony Orchestra and the Huntington Symphony Orchestra, and he shared the stage with: Ricky Skaggs, Del McCoury, Tyler Childers, Brad Paisley, Huey Lewis & the News, and the Davisson Brothers Band.
The cellists are ages 5 to adult. Johnny began the mandolin at age 7.
