About this Event
Join VIVA Studio for a 3-hour immersive dive into the heart of Manhattan’s Chinatown. This is more than a tour; it’s a guided creative session designed to sharpen your eye while you experience the authentic flavor of NYC.
What to Expect
- Hidden Gem Exploration: We bypass the tourist traps to find the "Bloody Angle" on Doyers Street and the quiet, textured back-alleys perfect for street photography.
- Cultural Immersion: Witness the soul of the neighborhood at Columbus Park, where we’ll practice respectful candid portraiture of local life and traditions.
- The "Cheap Eats" Tour: Creativity requires fuel. We’ll stop for iconic $2-5 bites, including the city's best pork buns, hand-pulled noodles, and sponge cakes.
- Technical Guidance: Whether you’re shooting analog film or a smartphone, I’ll provide 1-on-1 tips on lighting, composition, and "seeing" the shot before you click.
- Historical Context: Learn about the transition from the "Five Points" era to the modern cultural resilience of the community.
Workshop Details
