Vitality Art: Watercolor with Mixed Media

Cost is $150 for the week and includes all materials. Class meets M-F from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Vitality Arts is a program through the Rumriver Art Center. Ramsey Parks and Recreation proudly co-hosts a few of their offerings within our park system.

Vitality Arts Program shares the transformative power of the arts and creativity and inspiring vitality in older adults. Classes are designed to improve the health, well-being, and renewed sense of purpose for adults ages 55 and older.

Watercolor with Mixed Media will use various elements from nature to create art in innovative ways.
Day 1: Gather foliage which we will then use to create unique and beautiful eco prints with watercolor and powdered pigments. These papers will be used throughout the week in our art.
Day 2: Stamping and print making using foliage to make papers and underpaintings.
Day 3: Render your underpaintings using negative painting and glazing.
Day 4: Open air small landscapes in watercolor. Charcoal pours and powdered pigments.
Day 5: Experimental landscape over gesso.
