An event organised by the Society for Lincolnshire History & Archaeology (SLHA)
Meet at Great Limber Village Hall at 10.00am.
The visit will start by studying the memorial lychgate and exterior of Great Limber Church, followed by tea and coffee and a guided tour of the interior of the Church including the architecture and stories connected with the building. There will be a guided visit to both the exterior and interior of Brocklesby Mausoleum, considered the second most important architectural gem in Lincolnshire after Lincoln Cathedral.
After a picnic lunch either next to the village pond or in the Village Hall, the group will re-convene at All Saints, Church, Brocklesby DN41 8PP for a guided visit of both All Saints Church and Churchyard. The Church has wonderful box pews, organ case, font and significant monuments from the 17th century to the 20th century.
Please note: Morning tea and coffee will be provided but please bring your own picnic lunch, which can be eaten in Great Limber Village Hall. Toilets and parking are available at the Village Hall.
