Visions of The Futures We Build

The Exhibition

How will the built environment look when the goals set in Agenda 2030 are realised? How might the sector shaping our built environment function and be organised? What futures are we working towards together and what steps do we need to take along the way?

In ‘The Futures We Build’ initiative, four interdisciplinary teams will create visions of a future in which the sustainable development goals set in Agenda 2030 and the impact goals by the strategic innovation programme Smart Built Environment are met in the built environment in Sweden. These visions will now be exhibited at Form/Design Center to support, inspire and inform multiple actors in the sector in their efforts to collaborate, transform and, together, find new ways of working and organising.

The purpose of the visions is to support actors in the sector to leverage digitalisation and meet shared sustainability objectives, among them circularity, quality, functional durability, aesthetic design, longevity, robustness, mitigating and adapting to climate change, ensuring access to housing and infrastructure and creating inclusive communities.
