Visible Mending: Sashiko Workshop!
Bring in your ripped jeans, holey shirts, and worn out wardrobe; we are upcycling garments with sashiko, the unique and stylish Japanese art of visible mending!
In this 3-hour class with the wonderful Cheyenne Rudolph of Stitchcraft, you will learn and practice a variety of hand-stitching techniques to repair rips, tears, stains, and holes in your clothing and bring new life into your garments.
All sewing supplies are included; just bring a few items of your own clothing that need mending. Some examples include seams that have come undone, tears or rips in the fabric or lining of a garment, If all your clothes are in tip-top shape, feel free to bring a few woven tea towels, or an item of clothing you wish to embellish with decorative patching and stitching. No sewing experience is required.
