Visible Mending: Patch Your Jeans by Hand
About this Event
Workshop Location: SCRAP, 141 Industrial St #1, San Francisco
Workshop Description
In this 2-hour hands-on workshop, you'll learn hand stitching techniques to patch and repair denim using scrap fabric and thread, no sewing machine needed. We'll cover a few different patching methods so you can mix and match based on your skill level and the type of damage you're fixing. The focus will be on visible mending, turning repair into decoration, so your patches become part of the story and style of the garment. Bring a pair of jeans that need some love and leave with new stitches in your toolkit and a garment you'll want to wear again.
Some sewing experience is helpful but not required. All materials provided.
