Virtual Lunch & Learn: KAT & EFCT

This training will provide an introduction of this revelatory combination of Ketamine-Assisted Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy. This may change your practice and your client’s day-to-day life experience!

Ketamine sessions have helped Kathryn’s couples get unstuck. Because Ketamine stays alive in our nervous systems for 24 - 48 hours, defenses are dissolved temporarily, giving us enough time and openness using KAEFT to find and work with what lives below these defenses. The work of therapy remains, but KAEFT facilitates openness and receptivity regularly.

Even if you don't ever plan on getting trained in, or offering Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAT), you can come to this training to learn how our field is evolving and how medicines like Ketamine are leading this evolution. At the end of this Lunch & Learn, participants will be able to:

1. Identify the practical applications for using Ketamine Assisted Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.

2. Identify relevant ethics associated with Ketamine Assisted Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.

3. Identify three possible benefits of Ketamine Assisted therapy for their clients.

4. Use an understanding of the theory of Emotionally Focused Therapy when determining the appropriateness of Ketamine as an adjunctive intervention.
