The Morrill Memorial Library is partnering with Watertown Free Public Library and other Massachusetts public libraries to host a discussion with Dr. Nataliya Kosmyna, an MIT professor and researcher on ChatGPT and generative AI programs, on Wednesday, September 17 starting at 7:00pm on Zoom.Does using ChatGPT and AI have a cost on our brain cognition? A new study from MIT found the answer could be yes. Hear from lead researcher and professor Dr. Nataliya Kosmyna of MIT Media Lab about this groundbreaking study and its implications.
About the presenter: Dr. Kosmyna is a research scientist at MIT Media Lab’s Fluid Interfaces group and a Visiting Research Faculty at Google. She has over fifteen years of experience in developing and designing end-to-end brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). Coming from a background in artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and human computer interaction, she is passionate about the idea of creating a partnership between AI and human intelligence--a fusion of the machine with the human brain.
