About this Event
Virtual Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training
Please Note: This training is 100% VIRTUAL. The instrucutor-led session will be held LIVE via Zoom. There is NO in-person portion of this training.
Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches participants how to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in adults. Participants learn practical skills for approaching someone who may be struggling, providing initial support, and helping connect them with appropriate professional, peer, and self-help resources.
How the Blended Course Works
This is an Adult Blended Mental Health First Aid course. "Blended" means the course combines self-paced online coursework with a live instructor-led session via Zoom. It does not mean that any portion of the training is held in person.
After enrolling in the course, participants will receive a welcome email from the instructor containing digital copies of the Participant Processing Guide (PPG) and Scenario Cards that will be used during the instrucor-led training.
Participants will also receive a second email with the subject line "MHFA Let's Get Started." This email will contain instructions for accessing the MHFA Connect Dashboard, where the required self-paced coursework will be completed.

Participants are required to complete approximately 2 hours of self-paced pre-work (Modules 1-9) through the MHFA Connect Dashboard. All pre-work must be completed no later than Wednesday, October 21, 2026, the day before the live Zoom training.

Live Virtual Training- October 22
The instructor-led portion of the course will take place LIVE via Zoom from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM EST. Participants should plan to attend the entire instructor-led session.
After the Training
Following the live via Zoom session, participants are required to complete approximately 30 minutes of self-paced post-work (Modules 11-13) through their Connect Dashboard. Post-work must be completed within two weeks folllowing the October 22 training.
