About this Event

Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based training that teaches participatns how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in adults. Just as CPR helps individuals assist someone expereincing a physical health emergency, MHFA provides the tools and confidence needed to support someone experiencing a mental health concern or crisis until appropriate professional help can be obtained.

During this interactive virtual training, participants will learn: common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges, common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges, how to interact with a person in crisis, how to connect individuals with appropriate support and resources, strategies for self-care and resiliency, and the MHFA Action Plan ALGEE. Participants who successfully complete all requriements (review good to know questions) will recieve an official Adult MHFA certification that is valid for 3 years and can count towards CEUs upon director approval.
