Virginia National Ballet

The VIrginia National Ballet will be bringing Bohemian Rhapsody, Moonlight, and Tango Nights to Danville on October 4, 2025.

Bohemian Rhapsody was first premiered by Virginia National Ballet in 2017 and features the music of Queen.  Tango Nights was first premiered in 2021, and features a blend of neoclassical ballet and tango elements, to the music of Argentian composer Astor Piazzolla.  Moonlight is a new premiere choreographed by VNB’s Artistic Director Rafik Hegab, to the iconic music of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata.

From the bodacious hits of Queen to the powerful and saucy Tango Nights, followed by Beethoven’s famous Moonlight Sonata which starts with introspective calmness and builds to a powerful crescendo of sound, this intelligent and creative evening of dance will take you on a wonderful journey with great choreography performed by outstanding dancers, with a satisfying mix of musical styles.
