Join Rev. Ed Kosak and Maureen Levy for a one-day Vipassana retreat on the beautful grounds of Unity Myrtle Beach. We will learn how to “sit” with our bodies, thoughts and feelings through periods of sitting and walking meditation time, focusing on bringing peace and clarity in this time of upheaval.If you have wanted to begin a meditation practice or desired to spend a longer amount of time in meditation, this retreat is for you!
Ed and Maureen are experienced practitioners in Vipassana meditation. Ed has practiced since 2008 and led weekly Vipassana meditations while Minister at Unity of Charleston. Maureen has practiced Vipassana meditation for 25 years and has attended several silent retreats, including two thirty-day silent retreats.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring your water bottle. Feel free to bring your meditation cushion or yoga mat for sitting on the floor. (Sitting in a chair is also totally permissible.) Consider bringing rain gear if necessary, because we may walk outside.
Open to any level, including beginners.
Cost: $50 to Unity Church (includes lunch)
A love offering (Dana) for the teachers will be taken at the end of the day, as is Buddhist tradition.
