SAMIT Event Group’s “VIP Classical – Cultural Music Circle” initiative, the new face of the acclaimed VIP Classical series, shall be returning for the second entry of the year, with a spectacular concert featuring the talents of the celebrated UK pianist Marios Papadopoulos.
Renowned as the Founder and Music Director of the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, Papadopoulos is also a highly respected pianist who has been described as having “all the attributes of one of the world’s greatest players”.
Having appeared as asoloist with, and conducted many of the world’s greatest orchestras, he has worked with a host of eminent musicians in the biggest venues across the globe and has a recording catalog that includes his critically acclaimed Beethoven sonatas, performances of Stravinsky’s Concerto for Piano and Wind with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (Hyperion),works by Mozart, Mussorgsky, César Franck and the 24 Preludes and Fugues by Shostakovich, amongst many others. For this concert, the pianist will be taking to the stage of the glittering Dubai Opera studio, where he will be delighting audiences with renditions of a variety of seminal works spanning the rich history of classical music, including pieces from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Modest Mussorgsky, and contemporary composer Alexey Shor.
