Bay Area Thrash Metal Legends Vio-Lence for the First Time in Taiwan
In the early 1980s, bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax revolutionized the heavy metal world, igniting the Thrash Metal movement that continues to influence generations to this day.
After Metallica relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, they became part of the world-famous Bay Area thrash metal scene alongside a wave of young bands including Exodus, Death Angel, Testament, and so on — together creating the golden era of Bay Area thrash metal in the 1980s.
Known for their speed, aggression, razor-sharp riffs, and uncompromising intensity, Vio-Lence stood proudly among the legends of that era. Their classic album Eternal Nightmare is still regarded worldwide as an essential Thrash Metal masterpiece, influencing countless metal bands that followed.
