Dance to live bands and music from the 20s to the 40's at the second Vintage Dance weekend at the gorgeous ballrooms of the Midland Hotel, Bradford . Jive, lindy, balboa and shag plus some northern soul! It's happenin from Friday 13th February to late Saturday 14th February 2026.

Two people sharing a room for two nights Bed and Breakfast at this gorgeous hotel will have a total bill of £294 - so only £147 each for two nights stay including the dances and dance classes. If not staying then dance ticket price is £48. No day tickets until week beforehand as weekend tickets take priority.
Price including one nights stay is only £97.50 each.
Friday starts at 7:00pm in the Princes ballroom with DJ Tony Stickland and the wonderful swing band Louis, Louis Louis.
MC for the weekend will again be the wonderful Stevie Cruz!!
Saturday we are using the two ballrooms, the French and the Princes ballroom.
In the French ballroom, in the afternoon, there will be dance classes and at least one talk - details to be confirmed later.
In the Princes ballroom, there will be dancing from 11:00am with the wonderful singer you all liked from the Bradford Live dance, Mark Memphis, singing songs from the 50's and 60's. We'll also be having some soul and Motown from the DJs. Dress up 50's/60's style!
From 2pm, we will be having music from DJ Windy with two sets from the wonderful gypsy jazz band, the Hot Club of Halifax.
There will be a break from 5pm to 7pm for meals etc.
The evening will start at 7:00pm with the fantastic band the Leeds City Stompers and DJ Windy. The dance will finish at 11:00pm. Dress will be 1920's inspired - some great places within the hotel to take photos of gangsters and flappers!
If you don't have a hotel room but wish to change outfits for the different dances, there will be a locked room available to put your suitcases in and change.
Due to the very high cost of hiring the ballrooms, I have decided, for this year at least, to not hire one for Sunday and so people who are staying at the hotel can go straight home after checking out.
Hotel Prices for weekend: Rooms and Meals.
Standard double or twin £99 per night WITH BREAKFAST (lovely breakfast room)
So a cost for two sharing for whole dance weekend is £294 or only £147 EACH
Upgrade to an Executive room (well worth it) is £25 per night
Upgrade to King Executive is £35 per night
There are three rooms with four poster beds which will cost £195 per night.
Single occupancy for a standard room is £79 per night.
Rooms will be payable by card on check-in.
Please note: This hotel is cashless (shame) so only accepts cards.
Evening meal on Friday will cost £26 for 2 courses, from 5:30pm. (ballroom opens at 7:00pm)
An afternoon tea on Saturday or Sunday will cost £16.50 each (no offers on at moment but if you book as dancer you will get free prosecco)
Special Valentine's meal on Saturday evening with live singer (our own wonderful Stevie Cruz) will cost £32 for 3 courses with prosecco. Sit down will be at 5:30pm (during break from dancing).

You must book evening meals and afternoon tea with the hotel beforehand. The hotel has space for about 50 cars around the back (put registration number in machine at hotel desk). If the car park is full, Broadway Shopping Mall is directly opposite which provides secure 24 hour parking. The hotel is in the centre and very easily reachable by train or bus. Forster Square train station is barely 5 minutes walk.

Two nights stay with live acts and dancing in the two stunning ballrooms for only £147 each!! The attendees and the staff loved the event last year so let's have more people staying over. Day tickets will only be offered one week prior to the event, if space is available.
Bradford was the 2025 UK City of Culture and the building work that was going on last year has now been completed and the city centre looks so much better. Well worth exploring.
The Midland Hotel was built to a very high standard when Bradford was the world's centre for wool and contains a beautiful lobby with sweeping staircase and two gorgeous ballrooms. It also has a charming vintage restaurant and a very quirky railway tunnel from the car park.
