Step back in time at The 1908, a historic treasure over a century old. Originally built in 1908, this charming building was once home to Harley E. Darby, the pioneer of Grayslake’s first dairy route. Afterward, it became Rich Furniture, and later, in the 1970s, a beloved antique store. Now, lovingly restored, it stands as a hub of unique finds and vintage treasures.The Vintage Shop Hop is a self-guided shopping road trip featuring 350+ vintage shops, antique malls, barn sales, and boutiques across Illinois and Wisconsin. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore unique shops, uncover hidden treasures, and support small businesses. Plan your route, grab your friends, and enjoy a weekend of picking and shopping, with many shops offering special sales, giveaways, and exclusive finds for the event.
At The 1908, you’ll find a carefully curated selection of vintage treasures, primitive antiques, and furniture in cottage, shabby chic, Mid Century Modern, and farmhouse styles.
