Hello fellow residents! For those interested, I'll be teaching a "Vines to Wine" course at Truckee Meadows Community College starting Feb 3, 2026. This introductory wine course will focus on viticulture, viniculture, varietals (cultivars/grapes), wine-growing regions of the world, and an initial overview of the history and evolution of wine. Additionally, receive training in wine tasting, service, and food and wine pairings. General winemaking, including ongoing discussions of how environmental, geographical and culture conditions and the actions taken by the winemakers influence the finished wine(s) is also included.As a Regency Caramella Ranch resident and former owner of Mt. Rose Wine Co., I hope to see some of you in the course! Thank you and happy holidays.
