Village produce show and scarecrow competition

Sunday 23rd August is the Scalford Produce Show, Open Gardens and Scarecrow Competition and we'll be entering the BEST scarecrow by far!! (hopefully because we love prizes). Possibly also the wonkiest veg! We're making it an open weekend at the field so you can come along on Saturday afternoon or all day Sunday.
You can visit the field to see what's growing (and bring a picnic if you like). On Sunday you can tour the best of the village's lovely gardens, check out the scarecrows, view the produce show exhibits AND have a cuppa at historic St Egelwin's Church.
Maybe drop in to the King's Arms pub too for a drink and a proper Sunday lunch? But don't miss the produce auction at the church to buy a cake or some jam or a giant marrow and raise money for the community :)
