Village Greens X Holly Pickles
About this Event
In this workshop, Holly will be sharing her knowledge on how to become more sustainable and cut food waste. The UK throws away around 9.5 million tonnes of food a year meaning that an average family spends around £470 per year on food that just ends up in the bin!
But have no fear - fermentation to the rescue! It is a great way to use odd ends and sad bits of vegetables to revitalise them into a brand new product!
In this class, we will be making kimchi and Village Greens will be providing us with some of their amazing produce but if you can - bring something from home! Whether it is an old cabbage that's been sat in your fridge, something from your allotment or the odd carrot or two, bring them along. We will all be sharing the vegetables and creating new fermentation friends at the same time!
Once the workshop is over and we are all cleaned up, homemade refreshments and snacks will be provided (any allergies or dietary requirements please contact [email protected])
