ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Viktoria Capek is a writer, educator, and community builder passionate about storytelling and connection. A journalist and arts critic, she gained recognition as the only openly queer, female local news personality in Little Rock before leaving TV news and pivoting to art analysis. Her book, Dear Reader: An Immersive Literary Journey Through Taylor Swift's Lyrics (Watkins, 2025), expands on her popular course of the same topic. Viktoria is a champion of creative expression and passionate about how art uplifts the voices of women, queer people, and communities of color, creating space for their stories to be heard. She is also a co-founder of Hairpins, a pop-up events series for queer women, trans & nonbinary individuals.
