Vikingfest 2024

The time has come again for the Althing at Hedeby. Raven (hrafn), Wolf (úlfr), Bear (bjǫrn) and Dragon(dreki) clans have gathered. Tensions are high this year with the death of Jarl Ragnar of the Rafn. This year’s gathering will determine who will be the most powerful Jarl - which banner will you earn glory under at this year's, VIKINGFEST?
Skål! Mead, meat, and merriment are calling all Vikings and Viking enthusiasts to a celebration of mythic proportions! This EPIC all-day festival will include the following activities, running from 11 AM - Midnight and include the following activities, events, and more!

Mead and Meat: Feast upon delicious mead from Castle Bridge's mead stores, and fill your bellies on delicious food, such as Turkey Legs and more!
Viking Ship Pyre: As the sun sets on the fairgrounds, a life-sized pyre of a Viking ship shall be lit, signaling the transition from the day's events to the evening's revelries!
Marvelous Metagame: All participants are invited to take part in the contest to elect the next Jarl, by earning glory coins for their clan!
All Ages Extravaganza: By Baldur's Beard, there is something for everyone, with an entire KIDGARD section for the littlest Vikings to play!
Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition Ragnarok Epic: Choose your adventure! The Horrid Gray, The Wolves of the Sky, The Doors Will Open, The King in Fire, The Death Hound,
The Great Devourer, The Serpent of Woe, The Ship of Nails.
Brilliant Battles: The Society of Creative Anachronism shall be bringing to life crucial battles from history in full reenactments, as well as other demonstrators!
Immersive In Character Engagement and Storytelling: Our core of talented and tricky actors shall be bringing to life a variety of characters from the Viking age to immerse and entertain you!
Feats of Strength: Heavy Mettle Gym shall be hosting an official STRONGMAN contest, featuring feats of strength such as the Wagon Raise, Saxon Bar and Husafell Stone Carry (Do you have what it takes to be a fullsterker?) - You can register for this sperately at
Historical Hedeby: Learn the real life history of vikings at our reenactment village!
Valorous Vendors: Artisans, artists, and merry merchants shall be selling their wares throughout the festival
Epic Live Music: The evening will culminate with a sky shattering concert, featuring TORDENKOR, MAD MAUDLYN AND THE BEDLAM BOYS, and MAGGIE MOON, skalds of insane skill!
