Viking Signs - National Manufacturing Day 2024 - Factory Tours in Grantham

Viking Signs, the digital on demand manufacturing company, produces the world's largest range of safety signs with over 750,000 standard parts, all made on demand, with around 2500 signs and labels made and shipped ‘same day’, every day from their state of the art digital factory in Grantham.

This combination of inhouse product development platform and full digital workflow put Viking at the forefront of Industry 4.0 in the UK.

Visitors on National Manufacturing Day will follow the digital workflow of signs ordered that day - though large format print production and fully automatic optical registration of cutting and pick pack and dispatch.

Several local Grantham Manufacturers from the GLEAM-SK group have pledged to throw open their doors as part of a a UK wide Open House organised by MakeUK.

Local communities will have the chance to see the potential careers and jobs on offer within the wonderfully diverse manufacturing sector, aiming to engage with all age groups - from school leavers, graduates, people looking to reskill and the local residents.

Schools and local people can participate in any number of ways, at any time throughout the day, from a single tour to a full programme of events.

National Manufacturing Day will be a celebration of the diversity of local Grantham and South Kesteven manufacturing businesses of all sizes and types from component for wind turbines, leisure vehicles, robotic welding machines, CNC machined components, electric motors, to signage.
