October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). WomenShelter of Long Beach (WSLB), a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating domestic violence, is partnering with Councilmember Al Austin to host a Domestic Violence Awareness Vigil Event on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 AM.

This event is to honor the lives of those who have been affected by domestic violence and to promote prevention, education, and awareness to prevent future violence. WSLB will share information to help individuals recognize the impact domestic violence has on the community.
