The Vietnam Veterans Exhibit will feature artifacts, photographs, and memorabilia highlighting the history and contributions of the local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America. The event will include a presentation by Sandra Womack, who will discuss the chapter’s history and ongoing impact on the Beaumont community.
As part of the America250 Celebration, this exhibit offers attendees the opportunity to celebrate an important piece of both American and Beaumont history while learning more about the Tyrrell Historical Library and its upcoming summer programs.
Featured activities will include information about the Tyrrell Oral History Program, which seeks to collect and preserve oral histories from community members related to local history. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in the Letter Time Capsule Activity by writing a letter to be preserved in the Tyrrell archives and opened fifty years from now.
This event provides a meaningful opportunity to explore local history, honor veterans, and participate in the America250 celebration.
