Forum Concept

The Forum is designed as a compact, high-level leadership dialogue and roundtable platform, bringing together government representatives, university leaders, vocational education and training leaders, and selected industry partners from Viet Nam and New Zealand. The programme focuses on practical cooperation in higher education, vocational education and training, skills development, research, innovation and industry partnerships to support a shared future of sustainable growth and future-ready talent. The forum will also celebrate and acknowledge Viet Nam and New Zealand’s rich education relationship.

Objectives

· Shape a forward-looking vision for Viet Nam–New Zealand cooperation in higher education and skills development, and acknowledge existing education links.

· Strengthen institutional partnerships, academic cooperation, research collaboration and talent mobility between tertiary education institutions.

· Explore future-ready skills, AI readiness, green capability and workforce development for a changing economy.

· Connect education leaders with industry partners to identify practical cooperation opportunities.

· Generate actionable recommendations and potential partnership initiatives for the future
