Vienna Calling D4W The Gates

Welcome to the 𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗡𝗔 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚: 𝗗𝟰𝗪 – 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 event page!
𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗮 is hosting a unique 4-Way Dynamic competition on 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟭𝘀𝘁, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — with a fresh new format designed to encourage creativity, teamwork, and progression in the sport.
Unlike current competition formats, teams will compete in:
- 𝗔𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 (60 seconds, no gates)
- 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 using gates inside the chamber
For the Artistic Free Round, teams are encouraged to get creative and build something exciting and original without gates. Competitors themselves will also act as judges for both the artistic round and the speed rounds.
The gates will mainly support line judging during the speed rounds (see videos for examples). Teams will fly the speed rounds as fast as possible using Dynamr and laser judging at the door, with the added challenge of gates inside the tunnel.

We want to make this event attractive and accessible for competing teams, and thanks to the support of Windobona Vienna in the heart of Vienna, we’re able to offer a great package:
𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗲: 600 EUR per team
𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘀: 2 hours of training time
Additional training time will be available at a 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 for competition teams

Don’t have gates at your home tunnel? No problem. You can still train the lines using streamers or other markers instead of physical gates. The goal is to bring the community together, try something new, and enjoy the process.
Yes, there is prize money — but more importantly, this event is about innovation, progression, and having a great time together in Vienna.
