Victory 45’September 2, 1945 served as the formal conclusion of WWII following the surrender of the Japanese, when hope for an enduring peace once again seemed possible for the world.
Through this remembrance we aim to inspire, educate and motivate all on the universal values of duty, honor, strength, resolve, sacrifice and peace.
As Americans, we must remember and learn from our past, and to educate and inspire current and future generations with the lessons of war and peace.
Join the Living History Association of Rowan County as we support the Rowan Museum Inc. in a celebration and remembrance event for the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Come meet with local WWII veterans and hear their stories first hand; enjoy a collection of original WWII vehicles & talk to living historians who will be representing multiple aspects of the armed forces during WWII from sailors, soldiers & Marines.
**If you are a WWII living historian and/or have a WWII era vehicle, please reach out to us and we will get you squared away**
