Take me out to the ballgame! Come to Cape May’s Lafayette Street Park, 711 Lafayette St., Saturday, Oct. 12 and join the crowd to watch two vintage base ball games, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., between the Athletic Base Ball Club of Philadelphia and the Brandywine Base Ball Club of West Chester, Pa., both members of the National Association of Historic Base Ball Clubs. Club players will be dressed in their team’s vintage-style uniforms and replicate the game as it was played in the late 1800s, using the traditional 1864 rules. See how Victorians played the game! Bring your own blankets or chairs, or plan a picnic, but please leave pets, glass bottles and alcoholic beverages at home. since this is a school zone. Classic ballpark snacks and beverages will be for sale and admission is free!
