Info: Christina is an early childhood teacher, lecturer, researcher, and advocate whose work focuses on play, leadership, social justice, reconciliation, and place-responsive pedagogies in early childhood education and care. She is passionate about supporting educators to critically reflect on practice and create rich learning environments that foster children's agency, belonging, and wellbeing. Christina is also the host of The Early Childhood Exchange podcast, where she engages educators, researchers, and sector leaders in conversations about contemporary issues, research, and practice in early childhood education.

Info: I have been an ECT/Kindergarten teacher for more than 4 decades and have had the opportunity to upgrade my qualifications twice. I have been an Academic at VU for 6 years, initially as a Sessional but now as an on ongoing TFA. My ow particular interests are around creativity and the voice and rights of the child. My interest in the Reggio Emilia Approach and the “100 Languages of Children”, has see me take part in 3 Study Tours, to further develop my thinking and understanding, thus being better able to inform students on the possibilities around engaging young children in their Early Childhood Education.

Info: Echo Xiaohang Chen is a Teaching Focused Academic in Early Childhood Education at Victoria University. She is a fully registered Early Childhood Teacher and holds a Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) from Deakin University. Prior to entering higher education, she worked in a range of early childhood leadership roles, including Educational Leader, Second-in-Charge, and Early Childhood Teacher. Her professional experience spans curriculum development, educator mentoring and coaching, inclusion support planning, and whole-service quality improvement processes in early childhood settings.

Info: Hina Salman is an early childhood lecturer, educator, mentor, and practitioner with extensive experience in early childhood education and care. Her work focuses on reflective practice, play-based pedagogy, inclusion, educator wellbeing, leadership, and supporting pre-service teachers to connect theory with meaningful practice. Hina is passionate about strengthening educators’ confidence, professional identity, and pedagogical decision-making through practical, research-informed, and relationship-based approaches.
