Join us as we explore The Victoria Tunnel in Newcastle. The tunnel is a subterranean wagonway that runs under Newcastle upon Tyne, England, from the Town Moor down to the River Tyne. The tour will last around 75 minutes and the temperature is around 12 degrees centigrade, so a light washable jacket is recommended. The floor is slightly uneven in places, so flat shoes are recommended. The tunnel has level access throughout, but 50 yards into the Tunnel there are a series of World War Two blast walls – it is impossible to take non-folding wheelchairs, prams, or buggies beyond this point. There are a couple of audio experiences as part of the tour, so please be aware if you are sensitive to noise.
