Get ready for the cutest competition in town — the Victoria Livestock Show Wiener Dog Races! Watch as these speedy dachshunds dash for glory, tails wagging all the way to the finish line!

We’ll have 4 fun divisions for racers of all ages:
🐾 Puppy Division: Up to 1 year
🐾 Adult I Division: 1 to 5 years
🐾 Adult II Division: 5 to 9 years
🐾 Senior Division: 9 years and up

🏆 Ribbons and prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place in each division!

Check-In & Registration:
Opens at 12:00 PM and closes at 1:30 PM to organize heats and categories.
Races kick off at 2:00 PM sharp!

💲 Pre-registration: $10 per wiener dog via Eventbrite (credit card fees may apply)
💵 Day-of registration: $15 cash per wiener dog

We encourage all our furry contestants to pre-register early to secure their spot in the race — spaces fill up fast and your pup won’t want to miss the fun!

Wiener Dog Races - Official Rules & Regulations🐾

Eligibility:

• Must be a Wiener Dog! (AKC registration not required.)
• If your vet records list “Dachshund” as the breed, you qualify!
• If it looks like a Wiener, it’s a Wiener!
• All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations for their safety and the safety of others. (Current Rabies Vaccinations Required)

On-Track Rules:

• You may bring your pup’s favorite toy for motivation!
• No food or treats allowed in the racing area.
• All dogs must remain on leash when not actively racing.
• Only registered racers are permitted in the racing area.
• No cheating or "pushing" pups to the finish line.
• Each dog must two handlers — one at the start line and one at the finish line. No more than two handlers per pup on the track.

Event Notes:

• No selling or advertising of puppies or adult dogs of any breed.
• This is a rain or shine event — no refunds.
• Races will be run in heats, with winners advancing to the finals!
