🩺 About the Vial of Life Program
The Vial of Life is a nationally recognized emergency preparedness program designed to help first responders quickly access critical medical information when every second truly matters.
In an emergency situation, a person may be unable to speak for themselves due to injury, illness, or stress. The Vial of Life ensures that vital information is immediately available, helping emergency personnel make faster, safer decisions.
📋 What’s Included in the Vial of Life Kit
The kit contains a simple, easy-to-complete form that records essential information such as:
- ❤️ Medical conditions
- 💊 Medications and dosages
- ⚠️ Allergies
- 📞 Emergency contacts
- 🩺 Physician information
Once completed, the form is placed inside a clearly marked container and stored in a standard location—typically the refrigerator—where first responders are trained to look. Fire departments, EMTs, and paramedics across the country recognize the Vial of Life symbol and know to check for it during a medical response.
