Overview:
In this immersive 5-day Sound Design intensive, you’ll step behind the scenes of professional film post-production and experience the power of cinematic sound. From the first sound spot to the final theatrical mix, you’ll explore how dialogue, music, Foley, and sound design work together to shape emotion, tension, and story.
Working hands-on with a short film, you’ll craft a complete sonic world from the ground up — performing Foley to picture, editing professional sound effects, designing original sounds, and ultimately mixing everything in a state-of-the-art theatrical mixing theatre.
Guided by industry professionals, you’ll gain insight into real-world workflows while building practical skills using the same tools found in professional post-production studios.By the end of the week, you’ll walk away with finished stereo and 5.1 surround mixes — and a deeper understanding of how sound transforms moving images into unforgettable cinematic experiences.

• Discover how sound drives storytelling and emotional impact in film
• Sound spot a short film and develop a creative sonic direction
• Learn industry workflows used in professional audio post-production
• Edit and shape sound using industry-standard Pro Tools
• Explore a professional sound effects library and cut effects to picture
• Perform and record Foley to bring realism and texture to the screen
• Create original sound design using samplers and professional audio plugins
• Shape your mix using EQ, compression, reverb, and automation
• Step into a professional mixing theatre to complete a 5.1 surround and stereo mi
