This year, our nation marks two significant milestones: 250 years of American freedom and the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
VFC Foundation invites you to be part of Heroes Day 2026, a community event dedicated to honoring the men and women who have answered the call to serve — our veterans, active-duty military, law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and first responders.

Heroes Day is an opportunity for our community to come together not only to remember the sacrifices of September 11th, but also to recognize the generations of Americans who have served, protected, sacrificed, and stood ready when their communities and country needed them.
Durant Elks Lodge 300 Gates Ave, Durant, OK has blessed us with their wonderful space!
Time 11am - 4pm
Ceremony will start at 12pm
There will be emergency vehicles to explore, vendors to shop, food to choose from and more!
Your attendance does more than help make an event possible. It helps us create a day where our heroes and their families can see, hear, and feel the support of the community they serve.
Together, we can remember those we lost, honor those who served, celebrate those who continue to serve, and teach the next generation what service and sacrifice truly mean.

We are currently inviting vendors, local businesses, organizations, and sponsors to join us in making Heroes Day 2026 an unforgettable celebration of service, sacrifice, patriotism, and community.
Whether you join us as a vendor, sponsor, or both, we would be honored to have your business or organization represented at Heroes Day 2026.
Become a Vendor
Showcase your business, products, services, or organization while connecting with local families, veterans, first responders, and members of our community. We welcome businesses, makers, nonprofits, community organizations, food vendors, and others who would like to participate. Vendor booth set up will be at 10am. There is no vendor fee. We do ask that a door prize is brought by each vendor for our vendor bingo drawings.
Become a Sponsor
Sponsorship is an opportunity to publicly stand behind the veterans, military members, and first responders who serve our communities. Sponsorship opportunities are available at multiple levels and include recognition through Heroes Day promotional materials, event advertising, social media, event signage, and other opportunities based on sponsorship level.
