This is an event for active duty, veterans, and their companions to gather in creative community and make a journal to take home
About this Event

Join us for a free event! During this creative evening with community, you will make your very own journal to bring home, along with enough ephemera to get you started on your junk journaling journey. Journaling can be theraputic for many, as putting thoughts and feelings on paper helps people process emotions, reduce stress, and build self-awareness. Journal kits will be provided by Heal Vets- Since 1971, Heal Vets has been providing therapeutic craft kits to veterans and active duty military. Arts and crafts are a time-tested healing tool for PTSD, depression, anxiety, and can help relieve pain, improve mobility and fine motor skills. This event is open to active duty, veterans, and their companions/families. Due to the nature of the craft, this event is 13+.
