Learn about the brave men from the Okotoks district who fought at Vimy Ridge in 1917 during this free guided tour led by Kathy Coutts from the Okotoks Museum and Archives. Meet at the 'Salute to our Veterans Wall' located on Veterans Way.
The Battle of Vimy Ridge was part of the Battle of Arras, in the Pas-de-Calais department of France, during the First World War. The Battle of Vimy Ridge was also the first time that all four divisions of the Canadian Corps had fought together.
