Veterans Empowered, Inc. is dedicated to raising awareness about the impact of untreated PTSD and how awareness and treatment can lead to a better life for those affected. Founded by combat veterans, we aim to give back to our brothers and sisters in arms and those suffering from PTSD everywhere.

"Doc" Steve Lansing
Steve Lansing, PhD, LICSW, is a Licensed Mental Health Professional with over 50 years of experience, including his time in Vietnam as an Air Force Intelligence Analyst. A passionate advocate for veterans' mental health, Steve specializes in PTSD and complex trauma treatment, using evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Processing Therapy. He is also the co-author of Veterans In Crisis, a book focused on tackling veteran suicide and untreated mental health needs. He works closely with local veterans' organizations, including as the mental health specialist for the 3rd Judicial District Veterans Treatment Court.
"The Colonel" B. Wayne Quist
Colonel Wayne Quist served over 30 years in the U.S. Air Force, with a distinguished career in Vietnam, Europe, and the Middle East. He is the co-author of Veterans In Crisis, contributing his military expertise and insight into the challenges faced by veterans today. After retiring from the Air Force, Wayne transitioned to a career in investment banking and continues to serve on various boards, advocating for veterans and global democracy.
