Veterans Family Day in Downtown Kings Mountain

Join us in downtown Kings Mountain, to celebrate our veterans and the families who held things down while they served. That's a sacrifice too, and they don't get nearly enough of a day.
Veterans Family Day is a free, low-key celebration downtown. No speeches to sit through, no program to follow. Just food trucks, live music, a kids zone, and local vendors to browse, with a few veteran organizations around if you'd like to connect — no pressure either way.
For anyone who wants to move, the morning opens with the Overmountain Muster, a community ruck (walk it or ruck it, any pace, free) - but the day works just as well if you'd rather roll in at 10 and wander.
A lot of veterans come home and miss the built-in community that service gave them — the people, the routine, just being around others who get it. This day is a small step toward filling that gap, open to the whole town.
Come as you are. Bring the family.
