The Town of Huntersville, American Legion Post 321 and The American Legion Auxillary Unit 321 invite you to save the date for our 9th Annual Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony on Saturday, November 9, 2024. In recognition of the 60th anniversary of the Gulf of Tonkin Incident, our parade theme is “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans”. If you are a Vietnam War Veteran or know of a Vietnam War Veteran that would be interested in sharing your story and/or participating in our parade, we invite you to reach out to Maria Cepeda at [email protected]
Parade will start at Huntersville ARP Church at 9:30am concluding at Veterans Park. The ceremony will follow and begin promptly at 11am at Veterans Park to honor and remember those who serve and have served.
Parade Applications are OPEN on the Town of Huntersville website https://www.huntersville.org/985/Veterans-Day-Parade-Ceremony .
Parade Award Categories:
Best Adult Group, Best Youth Group, Best Marching Band Group, Best Performance Group, Most Patriotic Group, Best Themed Float, Best ROTC Marching Unit.
Parking for the event is at the following places: Veterans Park, Town Center Parking Deck, S. Main St Parking lot, Arts & Cultural Center Parking lot, Holbrook Park, Downtown Greenway parking lot.
