Veterans’ Day Commemoration with Field of Flags and Wreath Laying of the Wreath Ceremony
The Fort William Henry Museum is proud to announce its annual Veterans’ Day Commemoration, honoring the service and sacrifices of veterans from across the nation.
From November 4th to November 11th, 2025, the historic site will display a Field of Flags, each one representing a veteran who has been nominated. This year, over 10,000 flags will be displayed, marking the ninth year of this tradition. The goal for next year is to display 11,000 flags, leading up to the Semiquincentennial in 2026.
The centerpiece of the commemoration is the Veterans’ Day Wreath Laying Ceremony on November 11, 2025, at 10:30 AM on the Fort William Henry Hotel front lawn. This ceremony provides an opportunity for community members to gather in respect and gratitude for those who have served in the armed forces. The ceremony will feature a musket volley by Fort William Henry reenactors and volunteers.
Following the ceremony, a fundraiser luncheon will be held at the Lakeside Restaurant. A buffet lunch will be served, and net proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Adirondack Vets House Inc. of Glens Falls, a non-profit home for homeless veterans.
