The Village of North Aurora will hold its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the North Aurora Veteran's Memorial at Willow Way and Farview Drive.
This will also be the first look at the updates to the Veteran's Memorial, which has been undergoing construction since earlier this year, and we're excited to share the new memorial with our community. As part of this, our Veterans Day ceremony will feature several addition elements, including musical selections played by West Aurora High School's trombonists, a Flag Retirement Ceremony courtesy of Batavia Overseas VFW & Auxiliary 1197 at approximately 12pm (following the ceremony), and a first Flag Raising at the memorial.
We extend early thanks as well to the North Aurora BSA Troop #104 for placing flags at the Memorial, to the Marmion Academy buglers for playing Taps, to the North Aurora Police Department Honor Guard for their roles in the ceremony and the North Aurora Fire Protection District for displaying the large American Flag.
We look forward to having you join us as we honor our Veterans who served to protect our country and our freedom.
