🇺🇸 Veterans Day: A Veterans Evening of Honor — Bring Tiger Home Fundraiser ⚓
On behalf of American Legion Post 259 and the DeLand Historic Trust, Inc., we invite you to join us for A Veterans Evening of Honor: Bring Tiger Home Fundraiser this Veterans Day!
Come together with our community as we honor those who served, preserve an incredible piece of local and military history, and help Bring Tiger Home. ST479 “Tiger” is a U.S. Army harbor tug built right here on Lake Beresford in 1944. After serving in the European Theater and spending decades overseas, Tiger finally returned to DeLand—but the mission isn’t finished. Funds raised will help support the effort to bring Tiger ashore and establish a permanent home where her story can be preserved for generations to come.
