What does a Veterans Committee do at an Elks Lodge?The Veterans Committee is responsible for coordinating the lodge’s efforts to support, honor, and assist veterans and active-duty service members, in keeping with the Elks’ long-standing commitment to veterans.
Typical responsibilities include:
* Organizing support programs for veterans and their families�(hospital visits, care packages, emergency assistance, holiday outreach)
* Coordinating ceremonies and observances, such as Veterans Day and Memorial Day events
* Partnering with VA facilities, veterans’ homes, and local organizations

* Identifying veterans in need within the lodge or community and connecting them with resources
