Texas State Veterans Cemetery Workday – October 25th
As Veterans Day approaches, we’re proud to continue a tradition of service and gratitude.
🗓 Date: Friday, October 25th
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – until finished (hoping before lunch)
📍 Location: Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Abilene
We’ll be:
🌱 Planting and landscaping
🧼 Cleaning headstones and monuments
🌳 Tree trimming and grounds beautification
This event is family-friendly and open to all ages. Whether you have 30 minutes or 3 hours, your help makes a difference. Gloves are all you need — refreshments will be provided.
💬 Why We Do This:
It started nearly 3 years ago with a simple offer to help by doing tree work. What we found was a hardworking staff doing their best to maintain sacred ground with limited resources. Since then, we’ve returned twice a year, bringing volunteers to lift that burden and keep this place looking its best.
We don’t do this for recognition or profit — we do it for a cause greater than ourselves. It’s our way of saying thank you to those who gave everything.
